GOOD, Edwin M. 72, of St. Petersburg, passed away Friday, Aug. 27, 2010. Born in Reading, PA, he came here in 1971. He is a retired Navy Captain, retired from Florida Power, and was a volunteer for the S.P. road patrol. He was a member of Blessed Trinity Church. He is survived by his daughters, Susan Good and her husband, Kevin Davis, Nancy Wood and her husband, Patrick, and Cindy Cofrancesco and her husband, Edward; grandchildren, Christal, Brandi, Brian and Edward; and great-grandson, Bentli. There will be a visitation from 3-6 pm on Wednesday, Sept. 1st at Anderson-McQueen Family Tribute Center, 2201-Dr. MLK St. N. Brother Charles Weisgerber was called to that Celestial Lodge on High on July 21, 2010. Brother Charlie will be sorely missed by all who knew him. Brother Charlie passed at his Treasure Island home with his family. Services will be held at Bay Pines National Cemetery, 10000 Bay Pines Blvd, St Petersburg, FL, August 6, 2010 at 1:15pm followed by a Celebration of Life which will be held at the Treasure Island Tennis and Yacht Club, 400 Treasure Island Cswy, Treasure Island, FL from 3:00pm until 6:00pm.

In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Hospice of the Florida Suncoast, 5771 Roosevelt Blvd., Clearwater, FL 33760 in the memory of Charles H. Weisgerber.

SPRIGGS, Oscar Eugene "Buddy" 75, born Jan. 18,1935, in Gary, WV and residing in St. Petersburg, for 48 years was suddenly taken away from us Saturday, April 3rd 2010. Oscar was a selfless, hard worker who would do anything for his family, never asking for anything in return but love and affection. He was an Army veteran, retired from Greyhound after 29 years, and belonged to the Gulf Beach Masonic Lodge 291 for 43 years. He was involved with baseball at Northwest Youth Center for 21 years and touched the lives of those who played. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Ruth; his son Bud with daughter-in-law Lisa who reside in Clearwater; his son Philip with daughter-in-law Suzanne who reside in Largo; his son Douglas who resides in St. Petersburg, and his son Roger with daughter-in-law Terri who reside in St. Petersburg. He was proud of the fact that they remained close and visited often along with his grandchildren, Megan, Evan, Amanda, Griffin, Brooke, Sterling and Lelin Spriggs. Home and family meant the world to him and every holiday the whole family always gathered to make loving and lasting memories. He is also survived by a sister, Eva Tolley who resides in Mooresville, NC. We love you and miss you and look forward to seeing you in heaven. Friends will be received at Brett Funeral Home, 4810 Central Ave., Thursday, April 8th from 11 am to service time at 12 Noon. Burial with military honors to follow at Bay Pines National Cemetery. SPIERS, Gordon - Passed away peacefully at Allendale Nursing Home in Milton, Ontario, on Sunday, February 21, 2010. Loving husband of the late Ruth Spiers (2005). Cherished father of Gary (Wendy). Loving grandfather of Samantha and Jessica. Member of the Masonic Lodge for over 50 years in Vancouver and Florida. Active in Boy Scouts of Canada for over 25 years in Vancouver and Mississauga. Retired Accountant from Sears Canada. His family members and friends from England to Australia, Vancouver to Florida will sadly miss him. Special thanks to all of the staff at Pettit House at Allendale Nursing Home. A service of remembrance will be held at a later date.
