The highly coveted and somewhat illusive Traveling Gavel returned to its favorite home and proper place last night, where it will spend the 2009 Holiday season. Ten Members of Gulf Beach Lodge No.291 visited Dunedin Lodge where Worshipful Master Tim Bryce was cheerfully reluctant to let the gavel go. In attendance from Gulf Beach Lodge were Worshipful Master Shawn Rae; Senior Warden Tom Willmot; Treasurer David Webster, PM; Derryl O’Neil, PM; Chaplin Emeritus Don Harriot, PM;  Ralph Vaughn, PM; Brothers Travis Palladino, John Anthony, Carl Moore, Mike Pagnotta, and John Sawyer. The Traveling gavel promotes interaction between lodges in the 20th & 21st Masonic Districts of Florida and can only be obtained when seven or more members, including two elected officers, visit the lodge currently possessing it. The Traveling gavel made its way twice to Gulf Beach Lodge in 2009, and while we’d like to keep it we look forward to seeing the visiting lodge who comes to get it.
